Place and Place Architects collection, ca. 1920-1976.

Summary: Primarily photographs of buildings and photographs of architectural renderings of buildings in southern Arizona designed by Roy and Lew Place. There is a small amount of certificates, newspaper clippings, and articles about the architects and their work. Most of the images are of Tucson buildings and are primarily front views but a very few include floor plans such as the Westerner Hotel and the Pima County Courthouse; one set of images of Augustus Brichta Elementary School includes interiors and school children. There are a few images of the George Westinghouse home in Tanque Verde but the rest are commercial or government buildings; schools, churches, businesses, hospitals, and utility companies. There are construction photographs of McKale Stadium as well as an album of snapshots of the Veteran's Hospital (box 3).
